Active Berberine is a high-quality food supplement based on a standardized dry extract of barberry bark (source of berberine), white mulberry leaf extract (Reducose®), vitamin E, and chromium. The formula is vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free.

Berberine is a natural phytochemical with a number of scientific studies showing that it can support metabolism, lipid profile, and glucose balance.

Reducose® – a patented aqueous extract of white mulberry leaves, contains DNJ – a substance that slows down the breakdown of sugars in the digestive system, promoting a gradual glycemic response and helping to maintain more stable blood sugar levels after meals.
Reducose® acts in the upper part of the digestive system by temporarily inhibiting the enzymes (α-glucosidases) responsible for breaking down carbohydrates into glucose, which limits its rapid absorption after meals. Clinical studies show that taking 250 mg of Reducose® before a carbohydrate-rich meal can lead to a reduction in post-meal glucose and insulin spikes by up to 42% compared to placebo.

Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection to cells and protects unsaturated fatty acids and other easily oxidizable substances. It also acts in the body by stabilizing other vitamins, especially vitamin A, as well as other hormones and enzymes.

Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood sugar levels and to the normal metabolism of macronutrients.
